Hi, for starters; use the asio driver and disable networkcard and modem when running Logic . Don't run anything except logic and explorer (systray if you want to) in background (ctr-alt-del, dubbelclick on things you don't want) If you don't have anything on your audio disk, try formatting it the way Howard Wooten suggested in his last mail (Format D: /Z:64) Didn't try it myself but it might help. Don't use PC AV playback-delay Hope 4.05 will have a steady audio engine ;) Hope this helps Goodluck Budy ----- Oorspronkelijk bericht ----- Van: bill tanner <pharmacizt@...> Aan: <logic-users@onelist.com> Verzonden: zondag 21 november 1999 23:49 Onderwerp: [LUG] PC optimizing HELP PLEASSSEEEE > From: "bill tanner" <pharmacizt@...> > > Hello.....im a recent convert to logic audio and the sequencing is the > best....however i do need some tips on how to get exactly what i want from > the audio atributes of the program.....i have a 350mghz pentium 2 with a > little over 300mgs of ram ....i boot windows98 off an eide drive but use a > scuzzi drive for audio ( the drive has an 8.5ms response time).....and a > core2 lexicon audio card ....i can get about 16 SOLID AND DECKT OUT tracks > of audio W/eq's ,some efx etc.........from what i'v heard i should be > getting quite a bit better performance.....i do have this modem as > well...does that tax the cpu?......what im really shooting for is 32-48 > Decked out tracks with the kind of performance in which the VU meters arn't > lagging and the performnce meter has some headroom > ....................please respond if your setup matches this ideal...or if > you got any tips....thanx >
