Does anyone know if non-serial midi interfaces are supported yet?
I'm running a MOTU Midi Express XT throuth the GeeThree serial port
on my Dual 867. Works fine in 9 but I can't find anywhere to setup
midi in this new version. I'm not getting any midi in and Logic
Control's dead. I'm hoping I just missed something, but I'm thinking
it's probably not supported yet. I'm dying to try the new B3 demo.
Thanks,
Jeff

On Mac OS X, every MIDI interface needs a MIDI driver, as all
applications access MIDI interfaces via CoreMIDI, a part of OS X.
In your case, you would need a driver from MotU. As Mac OS X does not
support serial ports (only modems), writing such a driver is
currently not possible.

Well, I DO have (sort of) midi in exactly the same config but - the only
messages that are submitted are c-press messages, not not on/offs. So
this, of course, nothing to work with, but at least the stealth serial IS
NOT
DEAD. Maybe a reason for some hope (or an email to MOTO)
Greetings, Henrik

Will I be able to use my Opcode 64xtc hooked up to a Stealthport on OSX?

Did Michael's response not already answer your question?

Same problem. On Mac OS X, all hardware (no matter if PCI card,
connected to serial, USB, FireWire etc., no matter if it's an audio
or MIDI interface or whatever) requires a driver, except it is
supported by a standard driver (such as a mouse or keyboard).
