Subject: [LAM] punchin problem solved
Message #117320
The problem I was having with LAMP dropping out of MIDI/Audio sync while punching in or turning the metronome on or off was caused by the use of the Mac speaker click. No problems whatsoever since I turned it off. I don't think the problem was directly related to any particular piece of hardware in my system, as it occurred no matter which of the many clock sources I tried. It must have to do with the Mac's speaker generating audio while not locked to the same clock source as Logic, although I'm surprised nobody else has reported this. Is there a setting for designating an external clock source for the Mac's internal sound generator? I'm using a G4 450MP under OS 9.2.2. Thanks to all who responded to my original post.
