Subject: [GEN] Game Ports and how to set them up for MIDI
Message #117296
Can anyone help! I've got Logic Gold EXS Edition (4.8) running on PC, The Audio part works fine and good (and that's good enough for my uses at the moment) but I want the whole thing working (as you can imagine). In my environment, the Physical Input object has no little triangle protruding from it so I can't cable it to the sequencer object. At the moment I just have a standard soundcard that shipped with the PC (no MIDI ports!!!) so I have attached a MIDI cable to the Game Port but how do I get Logic to recognise that this is the case and how do I get the Game Port to send and receive MIDI data. I am getting really frustrated with this. (I am going to get an Audiophile 2496 card when funding allows and I'm told that this will pretty much solve all problems). If anyone out there can give me a step by step help in setting this up I would be very grateful. Cheers, Matt
