Subject: [LUG] [GEN] XSKey confusion
Message #117272
I just purchased the Logic Audio Platinum 5.0 upgrade and was reading how you need to send in the original software CD of the EXS24, etc., in order to get the access codes. What if I need to reinstall the software? Are the CD's returned? I don't like the idea of mailing away software that I've purchased. -Scott

All Emagic instruments (EXS, ES!, etc) are part of the Logic-code and hence are already installed as soon as you install Logic. In principle you just buy the XS-code to unlock usage of some instrument. If you ever need a reinstall, just reinstall Logic and everything will be reinstalled with it. So no worries. Besides, you could always make a copy of the original CD before returning it, right? -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.ision.nl/users/h/index.html
