Subject: [LUG] [GEN] synchronizing a roland vs1680 to logic audio 5
Message #117266
hello, hope someone can help me: i am trying to synchronize my roland vs1680 via midi with logic audio, but it doesn't work very proper... if i record tracks, which where synchron on the roland, they are a bit too late... but sometimes just 1/10 second, another time a bit more... can you tell me, why this happens? i need the tracks to be 100% in time... configuration: logic audio: synchronized by mtc roland: mtc, 30 fps. with best regards and please excuse my bad english... -- Andre Gronwald agronwald@...

Hello Andre, first of all I have to say that there is a bug in logic audio 5.2 in recognizing the roland harddiskrecorders like you have. I heard that they are working on it. Second, you have to set the same fps in logic like you do on the vs 1680. (so,in logic go to "options"-song settings-synchronisation settings, and there you set the same value, in your case 30 fps. Normally, in Europe , they use always 25 fps , otherwise you can have problems when using logic together with video.. See you can solve the problem with this information. Jim Bannockx NacNacMusic
