beager@... writes: > What is the english translation of KlopfGeist ? > [altavista gave me: 'knocking spirit'] Yes, that is correct. It is the "younger brother" of Poltergeist. But where Poltergeist will cause much commotion and move things around, Klopfgeist will make tapping and knocking sounds. I *love* the name that Emagic has chosen for this neat little instrument which dopples as a metronome! f-erenc szabo, smarty pants Z+E+R+O+B+E+A+T "NOW POWERED BY THE MIRACLE OF THE TRANSISTOR!"

Klopfgeist is a word which has traditionally been used by German musicians to describe the stupid rhythm machines found in those little portable keyboards and organs that became fashion in the eighties. It is used quite tongue-in-cheek, if you know what I mean ;b ;) Urs

>I *love* the name that Emagic has chosen Yes... "Klopfgeist" fits my "Zeitfraktur" name :) >for this neat little instrument which dopples as a metronome! But not just that... I already made a little song, but unfortunately it only gets installed by the windows updater, so every 5.2 Mac user is invited to download the song from: http://www.zeitfraktur.de/emagic/KlopfgeistDemo_ZF.zip Sascha Kujawa, Emagic GmbH QualityAssurance & Betatest Manager
