Is it possible that my internal hard-drive produces sound that is audible
within logic.
During fadeouts I can hear a noice similar to the sound that the haddrive
produces
when it works with audio at very loud volume.

Yes, a friend of mine had that problem too. It was due to a ground loop
(via Protective Earth) that involved his computer and his mixer.

Hi Vincent, people,

[Unbalanced soundcard to unbalanced mixing desk]

The connection's not balanced unless both ends are balanced. So is this a
solution?

Are these little isolating transformers?

I have had similar noises, even though all my gear runs off one plug-board.
Could this be a ground loop?
Anyway, I was thinking that connecting the equipment chassis' with a large
ground cable might solve the problem. Any comments on the electrical wisdom
of this?
Cheers,
