Hi all,
was having a look at LAMP 4.06 (despite not owning a G4 - boo hoo) -
and those of you complaining about not being able to tell which tracks are
muted may be glad to hear that they are now highlighted around the edges in
a lurid green colour - you certainly can't miss them now.
To be honest, I don't know what all the fuss was about before - I could
make out the mute bullet perfectly well. Now I have this neon green box
messing up all my carefully colour co-ordinated tracks - it doesn't really
go with my v. tasteful browns, oranges and blues!!!!
Obviously this is not a serious problem - it does not impair my use of
Logic at all - and I'm sure many people will be glad that mutes are now
clearer. It's just that I have grown to love Logic's new appearance - its
present colour scheme is easier on the eye for long work sessions - esp. in
comparison to the likes of Peak v2 which is hideous to look at. I'm not
sure this neon mute highlight is quite in keeping with that. I hope this is
not the start of a trend!
So, my (and Logic's, I reckon) aesthetic sensibilities have been
offended! Perhaps the mute highlight could use an inverse shade of a
track's particular colour? Or at least, as with many elements of this great
program (instrument icons - does anybody find them useful???!!!) can we have
the option of turning this off, please.
Demonstrating that you can't please all of the people all of the time, but
not losing sleep over it...
