Can someone give me an idiots guide to *dithering* -off the list if it's going to bore everyone :o) Like why do it? *How* do you "tell Logic to do it"? Sound off my DAT is *definitely* different - higher highs mainly (and, no, there's no pre-emphasis!). Is the DAT signal dithered? And can I dither final mixes after re- importing them from DAT into Logic? (The mixes use outboards, midi, samplers etc). Anyone help? - assume I know nothing about dithering at all, which is the case!
