Subject: [LUG] [GEN] WHY SELL OUT ANYWAY???
Message #110209
I don't use Windows, but I can't understand the reasoning behind selling out, losing control of the software, I personally would like to know why Emagic feels they want to be owned by someone else, rather than be their own masters, with their own goals??? WAM

At best, they'll just continue support for a year or so, but even still PC users would be treated as second- class citizens. Better to demand they give us free XSKey codes to unlock the dongles on Mac, so they're at least worth something. That's what I'm going to do--it's not like I could sell the PC version on eBay now. There's no point in prolonging PC support--all of us on the PC platform have got to make an unwilling switch. That could be to another PC program, or we could shell out the cash and buy a Mac. It sure seems insulting to have to buy a new computer to keep using the nearly $1500 worth of Emagic software I've bought this year.
