I don't use Windows, but I will be getting a secondhand G4 soon, as that's
all I can afford. I first changed to Mac from Atari Cubase, because when
it came out it was 'amazing' & it meant I could go from an Atari to a
Mac &
have audio. I never had much interest in PC machines, but still I've
had more trouble with my Mac than some PC users I know. I'll have to
upgrade from LAP 4.8 to LAP 5 now because my old serial port dongle won't
work. But I'm very worried now that it might be the last upgrade I get,
as I can see that by reducing their user base, reducing the number of
people interested in buying the software they'll also start to see less
people bothering to contemplate it as an option. Which begs the question
why did they feel it was really, really neccissary to their continued
popularity & existance??? In the end it may be wonderful for Mac users,
but it also might be the demise of the company, in the end I want to know
why did they sell out anyway?
