Subject: New poll for logic-users
Message #110191
Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the logic-users group: If Apple/Emagic really do discontinue developing for the Windows platform as of September 2002, what other sequencer (if any) will you switch to? o CubaseSX o MOTU DP o Nuendo o ProTools o Reason o Sonar o a hardware sequencer o I'm using LAW now, but will buy a Mac and start using LAM. o I already own a Mac so I will continue using Logic. o I already own a Mac but because of this decision I will switch to another sequencer anyway. To vote, please visit the following web page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/logic-users/surveys?id“7900 Note: Please do not reply to this message. Poll votes are not collected via email. To vote, you must go to the Yahoo! Groups web site listed above. Thanks!

Interesting that out of 8000 (yes - eight THOUSAND) LUG subscribers, less than 100 people have been to the poll, yet they are very quick to complain on LUG......... >If Apple/Emagic really do discontinue >developing for the Windows platform as >of September 2002, what other sequencer >(if any) will you switch to? > > o CubaseSX > o MOTU DP > o Nuendo > o ProTools > o Reason > o Sonar > o a hardware sequencer > o I'm using LAW now, but will buy a Mac and start using LAM. > o I already own a Mac so I will continue using Logic. > o I already own a Mac but because of this decision I will switch >to another sequencer anyway. > > >To vote, please visit the following web page: > >http://groups.yahoo.com/group/logic-users/surveys?id“7900

Like I said in another post, can you really expect people to make this decision the same day? I'd rather see people take time to answer this poll as it's worthless if just an emotional reaction.. There are also still so many unanswered questions.. like what does "support" really mean?, will LAW 5.2 get shitcanned? What kind of incentives/discounts will Apple offer (if any) to LAW users? Will Cubase et al offer any signicant incentives to LAW users? etc.. Also, some of us may actually be pro's (or, ahem... working day jobs) and don't look at / respond to this list everyday..
