As another die hard Mac user . . how do you see this as a good thing at all?
1. Lots of Musicians are screwed just because they happen to prefer the PC
2. Lots of Emagic employees are screwed, just because their expertise is
in coding for PC.
3. Apple is now competing directly with MOTU, who not only makes Digital
Performer, but some of the best audio and midi interfaces available.
4. Apple is now competing directly with Avid/Digidesign (again).
5. I fear the uniqueness of Logic will be buried under Steve Jobs. Can
you say iLogic?
6. I could easily see Steinberg dumping Mac support now. Loss of
competition in the market is not a good thing.
7. How will 3rd party developers of VSTi's and VST plug ins see this?
Apple is now selling both Soft Synths, and the plug ins included with Logic.
Don't be so short-sited. I can't think of anything beneficial that will
come of this.

why Apple is doing this...When you ask PC users about a Mac or
why they don't have one the response is Macs are good for
graphics and multimedia that's it
THAT"S IT!!! Steve Jobs plan is to make the Mac the worlds
digital hub so taking over Emagic was smart just like Final Cut
Pro is holding it's own. It might take awhile for Apple but it'll
happen..Apple also bought Prismo Graphic (India Pro Titler) I'm
sure it will be faze out for PC user..If you want to play games buy
a PC.
