OMHO it is absolutely impossible to vote on this today. We all have at least
half a year to think it over before our recent Logic version will become too
obsolete. Personally I want to see the new OS X Logic before making any
decision. And who knows, maybe former LAW users will get special deals on
buying Macs? Or even better... a OS X for Pentium hardware!? Way better than
the old days when I was running "Virtual PC" on a Mac ;-)
Best wishes

I interpereted it as:
"This will hurt us mac users also. with all of the loyal and patient pc
users gone, us mac users will be the ones making up for the smaller
market by paying more for future emagic products."
at least, thats how I read it, and appologies to the origional author if
this missrepresents what he was saying.

LOL... Do you still have a link to that original robot cartoon? It's
been a while since I've seen it and I'm sure more than just I could
use another good laugh today.
(My first laugh today came a few minutes ago when I tried pricing a
new G4 and saw that Apple charges $300 for each extra 512 mbs of
cheap slow SDRAM.. That's more money expensive than the new ultra
fast RDRAM which itself is way over priced, yet 4 times the speed!)

Maybe that is what he meant.
However i personally believe that although Windows users account for only
1/2 of the userbase they must account for more than 50% of the support
issues.

Your PC and SX key won't explode on that day. Only Emagic will stop
supporting the Windows version. "Half a year" is my guess for the
time you
can use Logic/Win "as it is today" before new Logic/Mac versiones,
SX and
other software will make you think that it may be time to go for a software
with more up-to-date feature.
Best wishes

but of course - as an experienced pc user you would never buy the ram
from the cpu vendor.
you would buy the base machine then source your extras somewhere else
this is exactly how you can think of Apple machines.
works like a dream.

Sure.....but you don't have to buy it. You can get it for 1/3 the price
with a third party....same goes for larger hard drives etc.
Do you buy your PC in whole from Best Buy or do you put together what
you want?
Take care

Anybody here who used Logic back before there was a Windows
version at all will remember how much more focused things
were. I'd gladly pay more money for that.
Logic Platinum isn't even as much money as Final Cut Pro.
