Hi,
I had some problems yesterday with a digital mixdown of several audio
regions on the same track, all with crossfades.
I was wondering if anyone else has had any problems in this area.
I ended up opeing 4.8 and doing it in there - no problems occured.
Thx,
Jason

Yeah - I tried to do a digital mixdown of about 30 seconds
consisting of a single track of crossfaded loops. It was going ...
really ... slow ... after about a minute of looking at the progress
bar, I cancelled and bounced it.

I'm running LAM 5.1.3. Digital mixdown is not working for me
either. When I run digital mixdown it creates a merged file, but
the resulting file consists only of white noise.
Does anyone have this issue? Does anyone know how to
resolve it?
Thanks,
Ken

For example, I want to arrange a song using several percussion instruments.
These takes were recorded in Logic, using the 'Create new sequence' and
'mute previous' in Cycle mode. Each instrument's takes is in its own folder.
So all the shakers' patterns are in their own folder, hand drum in their own
folder, etc.
Now I would like to make new folders with various combinations of patterns
taken from each instrument folder, so I can work up an arrangement in the
Arrange window.
I'm auditioning various combinations by going in each instrument's folder
and muting all except one at a time, etc These are already all muted, thanks
to the 'mute previous' preference.
When I hear a combination of patterns I like, what is the best way to take
each pattern and get them into their own folder?
Just looking for tips. To my knowledge, seems the best way would be to place
all the original patterns far down the timeline, and cut the desired
individual sequences from each folder and paste to the root level of the
Arrange page, then create a new folder.
Any better ideas?
To clarify:
FOLDER 1 = 15 takes of shaker
FOLDER 2 = 15 takes of dumbek
FOLDER 3 = 15 takes of Agogo bells
etc.
Now I like the way these sound together:
Take 3 of Folder 1
Take 10 of Folder 2
Take 5 of Folder 3
I want to pack these takes into a new folder so I can repeat it, then change
to another similar Folder of patterns, etc.
Excuse the wordiness of this, its kinda hard to describe, and I hope I made
clear what i'm trying to do.
Any tips would be most welcome.

Set the Audiofile Format in the Audio Preferences to Aiff or SdII, this
seems to be a bug with WAV only...
good luck

I'm also runnning 5.1.3, and the other day I tried to "glue" a
bunch
of regions together and it wouldn't let me. I didn't have time to
troubleshoot, but will next week.

How about:
1. Select Muted Objects>Delete (within each folder)
2. Merge folders (using glue tool)
Mr P
I got the answer I was looking for from the Sonik Logic board:
Make a screenset with several non-linked arrange pages, explode a folder in
each. Lock screenset. drag selected objects to fresh tracks.
