I'll second what Mike has said - you do get true plug and play.
I can just plug in my usb interface with the computer already booted up
and it all kicks in. Simply start up logic and the midi ports are
available. Very useful if you're using a laptop.
You can get a USB hub too allowing more than one midi interface to be
connected to the bus. This would be cool if you had loads of devices and
wanted each one on a seperate port instead of daisy-chaining.
Also, as Mike pointed out, the results with these units are superb and
they seem to really do Logic's excellent midi timing justice.
