If your computer is set up for USB, that's great. I have some midi patch
bays, but...what I am using at this point is a USB Midisport 2X2 by midiman,
allowing midi communication to the computer by two midi controllers...in my
case a Triton and G-1000 Arranger/Workstation...no worrying about
IRQ's...just truly plug and play...and the results with this lil unit and
Logic are simply great. If I want to use additional controllers or other
midi devices, I could daisy chain some Midisports, buy a larger midi
interface...or if I wasn't interested in more controllers, just operate
other midi keyboards/effects/modules by patching "thrus" together.
The
response by Logic to these new lil USB units is very, very quick.
