be turned off ant the plugs look like 3.0 plugins. Logic runs with out
extensions. since we have the enviroment there really is also no need for
OMS. so you can turn that off too. I'd keep on the extensions for 3rd party
stuff on (i.e. kensington mouse, iomega, ect.)
hope this helps

Do you mean that OMS isn´t needed
for my Midiman USB Midisport 2x2.
Tell me because I would love to turn OMS off cause I
don´t like it.

Sorry, but the _only_ USB interface that is directly supported by Logic is
the Unitor Family (AMT8 / Unitor8). _ALL_ other interfaces need OMS, because
the communication between Interface <=> USB <=> Computer is
undocumented and
doesn't follow any standard :-(

If Logic doesn't see your Midiman then you may want to do this. I might be
wrong and with this one I'd suggest that you contact emagic but I belive
there is support for most midi interfaces in generic MOTU midi timepeice
mode. But OMS would not be needed for your synths. The enviroment takes care
of that - Imagine the ENVIROMENT as one of the most versitile and expandable
virtual MIDI patchbay inside your sequencer. This is why Logic Audio is so
popular and is far beyond the capabilities with other MIDI sequencers.
If your MIDIMAN doesn't work. I'd sugest dealing with it until you can
justify buying a unitor or something.

Out of curiosity why would you be using a midiman - I actually don't think
that's supported - Did a salesmen push you into a poor purchase? Using Logic
with OMS without the need for OMS in logic has to be a bit of a pain in the
ass.
My suggestion would be to put your money into a new midi interface like MOTU
or EMAGIC - or OPCODE. Of course emagics interface is marketed as being the
best for timing with logic and I bet that's most likely the truth.
