Subject: [LUG] [GEN] A little Automation Challenge...
Message #108042
I had the darndest time trying to figure out why a certain instrument wasn't responding to automation. Finally, I opened the tracks automation event list and found two objects, both located at the beginning of the track. The first is of type 'unused', cha = 16, num = 0, val = 0. The second is of type 'fader', cha = 1, num = 9, val = 0. The second has 'mute' in the info column. Having both these critters in the automation has the effect of turning off the automation and fader moves. If Mr. 'Unused' is removed, but Mr. 'Fader is kept, automation returns, but the link to the LC's flying faders is gone. If Mr. 'Fader' is also removed, the link is back. Your starter for 10; What the hell are they? For 10 bonus points, in the words of the great David Byrne, well, How the hell did they get here?
