Subject: [LUG] [GEN] Problem Solvers quiz: moving an exs instrument with same named samples
Message #108033
I have many drum samples from various cds. I am organising them into drum type folders eg kicks, snares, hihats etc. I use the exs load multiple zones feature which allows me to go through all the samples auditioning them audibly then adding them if they are in the category I am sorting eg rimshots. Then I can move the instrument into a folder called rimshots. Here is my problem: I have loaded all the rimshots from various cds but some have the same file name eg rim01. This means I am unable to save them to a folder all at once because my computer won't save seperate files with the same name. I know I could go in and rename each file, it's just that it took me a while to scan through all the samples to collect all the rimshots and it is a hassle to go back and rename. Ideally the mac would give me the option of renaming files that have the same name as it saves. Any workarounds available?
