The problem with ASIO overload is that there are so
many things that can cause it. So far I think I have
ran into 4 or 5 myself. I am running XP on a PIII
667mhz. Here are a couple of things you guys might
look at if you haven't already. Hardware exceleration
for your video. Depending on your system you may have
to turn it down or all the way off (this is Logic
101). Next check your device drivers for your audio
and MIDI interfaces, make sure they are the most
current. I also found (in XP anyway) that combining
devices from to may diferent manufacturers can be an
issue. I got rid of my MOTU MIDI interface and bought
a Midiman (which is who makes the drivers for my sound
card) and no more ASIO problems. I also had to many
tracks set up in logic for the amount of devices my
sound card would allow. I also had problem with one
particular song and chased that down the the fact that
I had acidentaly saved the files to my 5200rpm hard
drive which could not keep up, as I got into full
productions with plugs and all. I am sure that there
are a couple of others but I can't remember now.
If your system is not optimized for audio you
definatly want to do that. Try videoguys.com they
have an extensive list of tweaks for win 2000.
I hope something here helps. Iknow it is frustrating
Good Luck
