Help!! My EXS24 is loading the wrong instrument file!
I am trying to save a EXS plugin setting setting file which contains
a reference to the clavinet exs instrument that was installed to my
hard drive from the EXS factory CD. This clavinet instrument is
stored the file:

I've found that this happens consistently when you have .exs
instruments in the different folders with the same name. EXS24 loads
the first one with that name...whether it's the correct one or not.
The only way I found the deal with it was to rename instruments with
the same name. A unique number or letter before or after the file
name suffices.

The thought of going through my EXS library to find and rename .EXS
files with the same name does not fill me with joy and happiness :-(

Have you tried to use EXS Manager yet? A recent wonderful invention
by Andrea Gozzi: http://www.arcanoise.com/ExsManager/index.htm
I don't know for sure, but hopefully it can solve your problems
automatically.

I've downloaded EXS manager, but haven't had time to explore its
features yet. However, this hasn't been a problem for me really. I
just deal with the duplicates as they pop up. There haven't been
very many.
