I recently asked for some advice for updating the Mac version of OSX and got
one or two replies implying we are trying to use an unlicensed version. My
friend has not bought Logic yet, and we did not realize OSX does not support
it yet. We have a dual boot system with version 9 and OSX 10.0.4. All I am
trying to do here is bring the Mac up to date regardless of whether Logic is
supported yet. Thanks to those who pointed out OSX does not support Logic
yet, I will bare that in mind when he buys the package next week, and
install under version 9 Mac OS.
If anyone still wants to email me privately about why we get the "This
software cannot be installed on this computer" message every time we
try and
update OSX from version 10.0.4 I would very much appreciate it.
Phil.

Hi Phil,
Sorry Phil, I misunderstood your post. I thought that your question
related to trying to update Logic. Whilst not trying to sound difficult (I
really don't know the answer to your questions) but why don't you try
posting your question on the OS X users group at apple? (follow the tech
support links).
For non Logic related questions on Mac operating systems, I have found
this to be a great source of info.
