Look, nobody wants to put Emagic out of business, and nobody wants them to
stop using the dongle. What we want is a dongle that is reliable! I know
it is for most folks, and that is great, but if there is even a chance that
the dongle will go bad, that can cost me a lot of money.
Now, I am happy to pay $25.00 to $50.00 for a time limited spare dongle, but
$350 is way too much.
I will pay it because I can't afford not to, but it is wrong that I have
to!!
I have no problem with a dongle that is stable.

There you go! How about a "Demo-Dongle"!! Pay $25 to $50 and get
to
use Logic for 2-4 weeks! People could use it as an emergency backup,
and non-users could benefit of first-hand experience with one of the
best music softwares on the planet. True try-before-you-buy for
expensive software at last!
Hmmmm...

That would be killer! It would be "Pay as you Go" - like cell
phone
service.

Et voila - for once in the history of this list, people seem to be reaching
a consensus rather that diverging from one. Maybe it's time for a poll -
If E-Magic were to flog a second XSKey to registered users as a backup, time
limited to 30 days, operating on the same access codes as the original, for
say $50 US, how many users would buy it?
