Thank you for creating this poll, Sam. I think it might produce some
valuable information, and I urge anyone who has had a problem with their
XSKey, whether it be a one time error message or complete failure to
participate.
The more info we can put forth, the more likely we are to see trends
appear. In my case I have had 1 "XSkey not found" at bootup of
Logic . .
. . and 3 or 4 "XSKey no longer available, when trying to open songs
from
the recent files menu. The most recent incident . . the song in question
had 3 or 4 audio files . . . 1 track of Virtual Guitarist, and 1 trck of
LM4 MK II. Upon trying to open this song I was first greeted with the
"no
longer available" error . . . followed by an ASIO type 1 error. Now, I
was trying to open this song immediately after working on another ram
hungry song that featured The Grand. This is why I think these problems
are memory or ASIO related from within the Logic program . . and in
extreme cases, causing permanent corruption of the XSKey itself. In all
my instances, simply restarting the program or the computer brought the
XSkey back to life.
looking forward to reading others' experiences,
Jon

In my case, I needed to put the XSKey on it's own port on the Mac, to avoid
having it cut out in the middle of a song (thankfully, this time round, at
least you can save your work...)
