Subject: GEN: Renaming/removing ASIO outputs
Message #107933
I just installed a new RME digi96/52 card. Excellent card as far as I can tell so far. I only have one ADAT I/O hooked up to my Yamaha 01V mixer. The other 2 ADAT ports are unused. Is there a way in Logic to either remove the ASIO references for those unused ports, or to rename or rearrange them so that it is easier to identify the "active" ports on the system. Its been a bit frustrating to find the proper In or Out by fishing through 25 of them to find the right 8 of them. I appreciate any help. Thanks Ron

This is a reply to #107933.
There are two different issues here. You can go to the audio configuration window and select view asio labels to change the labels for the inputs and outputs in both mono and stereo pairs. Eliminating the channels you do not use can be done by using the max I/O streams setting in the Audio hardware and drivers setup dialog. If you are only using the first adat port on the hammerfall, then choose 8 for max in and out streams. On the hammerfall ports 1-8 are adat 1, 9-16 are adat 2, 17-24 are adat 3, and 25-26 is the spdif... note you cannot pic and choose which inputs work, so if you choose 8 I/O streams you cannot use the adat2 port on the RME. Hope this info helps. --- In logic-users@y..., "rfeinb" <rfeinberg@c...> wrote: > I just installed a new RME digi96/52 card. Excellent card as far as > I can tell so far.
