Hi all,
I'm trying to do an install of Logic for a friend on a Mac. Before I install
Logic 5 on OSX I am trying to update it to the latest version. Not being a
Mac expert I am wondering why on Earth I keep getting "This software
cannot
be installed on this computer" message. I find it a bit baffling to say
the
least. My current version is 10.0.4 build 4Q12. What am I supposed to do to
get this machine updated?
Thanks, and sorry for the relative OT. Please reply privately to

Logic doesn't run under OS X. Emagic is working feverishly on an OS X
version as is every other major Mac sequencing software company.

Logic for OSX hasn't even been released to the public
yet. You either don't have Logic for OSX (and need to
install it while OS9 is the booted OS), or you have
a pirated copy and should cut off one of your fingers
as penance.

I guess you haven't been a regular subscriber to this list!
Logic DOES NOT run under OS X in any of it's current incarnations. The OS X
version of LA 5 is expected as a free upgrade to existing LA 5 owners later
this year, although PROBABLEY not until OX 10.2 is released (later part is
pure speculation)

P.S LA 5.13 running very well with 9.2.2 here on a G4 533MP
