Subject: [LUG] [LAM] RME + Pro Tools Project?
Message #104899
I have the old Pro Tools Project/Session 8 hardware running on a g3'd 9600, using Logic as the software. I was looking at finally getting a newer generation of audio conversion and playback, and wondered if I would be able to run both of them at the same time. In theory Logic should support this, but I wonder if anyone has actually done this and can report back. I was looking at the RME MultiFace+PCI board system, though any comparable 24-bit system would be considered. Logic would talk to the PTP board via DAE, and use ASIO drivers to talk to the RME. Any glaring potential conflicts here?
