unplug/replug the firewire drive ... this warning always comes up if i
unplug a mounted firewire drive. it is usually solved by re-plugging
it in. i have no idea why unplugging a USB device would cause this
dialog to appear though.

Sometimes it's just simultaneous similitude. Coincidence.
Think of the film "All Of Me", when the guy (not used to modern
technology) flushes the toilet - and then the phone rings. From
that point forward he connects the two.

I don't know... Pretty spooky when you pull out the key, hear the pop, and
watch the icon disappear. But hey, could have been the toilet I guess.
Thanks to Josh Davison. Your solution worked like a champ.

OK, so I just upgraded to LAMP 5, bought a G4, and a Keyspan SX Pro PCI card
which give me serial ports, thinking my old Unitor 8 would work that way.
So I guess I was wrong on that one. Anyone have an idea as to how to make
the U8 work, or do I just need to bite the bullet and get a new midi
interface?
I do use SMPTE and MTC from time to time. Open to suggestions.
Thanks
