this problem is occuring for me in two circumstances right now, with
both the 5.0 and 5.1 exe under winXP pro.
first, when using AbsynthVST, logic 5 will disappear after about 5
minutes of patch browsing. there are usually no error messages, just
logic is gone, leaving only the absynth engine behind.
then today, when trying to open an lso file that i was working on
yesterday, the same thing happens (btw, this file has never had the
AbsynthVST plugin used in it). File -> Open -> select the file, and
poof! - logic is gone. Task manager shows that there are no longer
any running applications, but the "processes" tab shows logic 5
still present, and hence trying to re-launch logic gives the message
that the program is already running.
so issue 1 is how to prevent this crash, and issue 2 is how to
regain access to my file..?

Hi,
I know this problem and have had this many times with different VST
Plugins (W2K and W98SE). It seems, that there are some problems with
VST Plugins in the current versions of LAPW. There has been a similar
thread before in the last month. I hope this will be fixed in the next
update(s).
Regards,
Axel
