Subject: [LAW] Logic 5 disappearing?!
Message #104860
this problem is occuring for me in two circumstances right now, with both the 5.0 and 5.1 exe under winXP pro. first, when using AbsynthVST, logic 5 will disappear after about 5 minutes of patch browsing. there are usually no error messages, just logic is gone, leaving only the absynth engine behind. then today, when trying to open an lso file that i was working on yesterday, the same thing happens (btw, this file has never had the AbsynthVST plugin used in it). File -> Open -> select the file, and poof! - logic is gone. Task manager shows that there are no longer any running applications, but the "processes" tab shows logic 5 still present, and hence trying to re-launch logic gives the message that the program is already running. so issue 1 is how to prevent this crash, and issue 2 is how to regain access to my file..? kevin

It seems, that there are some problems with VST Plugins in the current versions of LAPW. There has been a similar thread before in the last month. I hope this will be fixed in the next update(s). Regards, Axel
