I just upgraded too 5.1 and I can say im very very happy except with one small problem. my firewire drive seems to cause a hiss/distorted noise every time it access audio while it plays a song. no matter how low the Drive performance is, I can play one track and it still happens. but whenever the RED access light of my firewire drive goes on the distorted noise starts. and stops as soon as it goes off. I have played with the buffer settings and the drive is 90 empty and defragged. im using a motu828 sound card and a Maxtor 7200rpm 80 gig drive. Pentium 4 with 512 ram, anyone have any suggestions on what to try or similar problems?
