a technical question: today i did a little performance testing with 5.1. on my quicksilver 733 and ended up with 32 mono tracks and 6 true verbs. well - i'm not that impressed, but that's not the point: the limit was not reached because of cpu load (the left meter) but because of the disc load - which did not exceed the third of the disc load BEFORE i started inserting the true verbs. so: is there something wrong with the meters or - back to my topic - how can this happen? btw: reducing the number of tracks while increasing the number of true verbs ended up with 9 verbs and 10 tracks. mmh.
