Hi all users!
Let me explain what I am trying to do. I have a couple of hardware
synthesizers, Roland JP-8000 is one of them. I first play the synth as usual
and record the MIDI notes in Logic Audio Platinum 4.8.1. After that I play
back the track and record the incomming audio from the JP to an audio track
in Logic, no problem at all. But how do I do the same thing with my NI FM7
software synth? There is no audio comming in from that synth because the
audio is already in my Mac. So the question is, how do I record the output
af the FM7 (or any other VST synth) to an audio track without sending the
audio out of my soundcard and in again? The soundcard is the Waveterminal
2496. I am running Mac OS 9.2.2 on PowerMac G4 733 MHz.

the VSTi have to be "Bounce" as an audio Track...
just fill the Start & End measure ( it is not automatic...) and go on..

1) Use the Bounce To Disk feature (make sure you solo only
the track(s) you want to bounce: What You Hear Is What You
Get). Make sure you note exactly where the bounce started (say,
1.1.1.1)
2) Put the resultant audio file onto the desired track, starting
at that same time (say, 1.1.1.1 from the example above).

Man, wouldn't it be fantastic if this rather archaic thing would go
away? How about a bounce button on EVERY audio mixer
channel, instrument, fader and output? Hitting this would bring
up a dialogue with the bounce options already in there now, as
well as options for bouncing w. or w/o. effects, sends, etc., and a
little tick-me button for replacing the original file(s) with the
bounced one, sample accurate and all! This would make life
sooooo much easier for us all, especially now with all this
internal synths going on ... Emagic?

Hi List,
To all fellow Gold (and Silver) users: the subject says it all. I
contacted the Dutch distributor for details this morning but they can't
say anything on the specs of Gold V5. They expect the product will ship
end of June.
Regards,
Herbert
