Subject: [LUG] [LC] doesn't show selected tracks out of view? Scroll?
Message #104598
I just got my Logic Control, and I am very pleased. One thing I have noticed right off the bat is that the screen does not always show your track selections either in the arrange window and or in the mixers because they may be hidden out of view. It will select what tracks you bank over to, but many times they are hidden out of view, it would be great if the screen somehow followed your Logic Control track selections, as to not have to use the mouse to scroll over to the highlighted track, or down to the chosen arrange selection? At least in the arrange you can use the zoom in and out to view hidden track selections, but in the mixer, you are out of luck as far as I can tell. Would be neat if the screen auto snapped to the chosen track if it was out of view, or if we could assing the shuttle wheel or something to handle the scroll functions? Any ideas?

Enable the Chain icon. This lets the Mixer window auto-scroll to the selected track. Enable menu item "View > Follow control surface". This lets the Mixer window follow the Global View / Track View toggle and Global View object type filter chosen on Logic Control. -- Beste Gruesse - best regards, Michael Haydn EMAGIC Soft- und Hardware GmbH SoundDiver Group Executive Logic Developer (Logic Control integration) Unitor8 Control Project Manager

From what I have seen in my limited use, is the chain icon does allow the adaptive mixer to switch from Audio Track to Audio Instrument, to Midi tracks etc., but if you are viewing tracks 1 -16 on the screen, and use the Logic Control to bank over to track 64, track 64 will remain out of view on the screen? Correct? I was curious if the shuttle wheel could be used to scroll left to right or something? Or if the screen would just automatically follow to the right over to track 64..... I will try this again as you suggest Michael, what about for the arrange window?

Correct? No, it should scroll so that track 64 is visible. >I was curious if the shuttle wheel could be used to scroll left to >right or something? I already wrote that I don't want to use the jog wheel for anything else than jog/scrub/shuttle - which would be confusing. >Or if the screen would just automatically >follow to the right over to track 64..... > >I will try this again as you suggest Michael, what about for the >arrange window? I do have follow controller selected in the Adaptive Mixer as well as the chain button selected., and when I bank over to 64 and select it, it remains out of view to the right, same for the arrange window? Any idea what I am doing wrong? Thanks

Hi Michael and technodork_2000 > I do have follow controller selected in the Adaptive Mixer as well > as the chain button selected., and when I bank over to 64 and > select it, it remains out of view to the right, same for the arrange > window? > > Any idea what I am doing wrong? > I have also experience something similar. I have found that the Mixer WON'T scroll when the LC is in 'Global View' mode but WILL scroll when not in 'Global View' mode. However, I could also be doing something wrong........ I can recreate this problem 100% of the time. Thanks Kim
