I went from version 4.7.0 to 5.0.0 on the same installation of Win98 SE (using Win98 lite). I spent a good amount of time tweaking the OS and the hardware to get things working properly. Before that, I was getting clicks and pops, and ASIO overloads all the time. But after I set things up properly, here are my experiences: 4.7.0: - ASIO overloads occasionally for no reason - Logic frequently collapses (tons of errors) and needs to be restarted 5.0.0 - Very occasionally after a long session Logic collapses (complains about losing a MIDI sync signal or some such) and Win98 needs to be rebooted. In my experience, v5 has been much more stable in general, but it's still not perfect. YMMV. I also had problems with my high-tech mouse (Optical, Wireless, USB) when I was using 4.7.0, and these problems have now gone away - maybe because of v5, but just as likely because I fixed the mouse by dropping it a couple of times. I do intend to try XP eventually. Michael -- Michael Graham magog@...
