The possible solutions I've heard are: 1. Update the MTPAV to the so-called Windows USB ROM, which apparently polls the interface less often. You can use the Apple System Profiler to check whether it's earlier than 1.3x. (Note this is different from the operating ROM - this is the USB ROM). 2. Use Conflict Catcher to make FreeMIDI and OMS load first. There's a rumor that just putting spaces in front of their names won't do the trick, but I don't know. (I'm glad developers are working to improve MIDI timing, and it's not hard to understand why there were at last count four proprietary standards plus the upcoming Apple one for doing this. But I can't help lamenting the serial MTP-compatible days when you just turned on your rig and started working! Firewire is great, but USB hasn't improved my life.) -- Nick Batzdorf 818/905-9101, fax -5434, cell 818/601-4874

Mine has consistantly been problematic and I haven't been able to find much info on MOTU's website. Nothing saying the latest version, or how to obtain it, etc etc. Colin Miller
