I use Vers 4.81 with Win98 se. It works great. However, I like the features and look of vers. 5. Does it run well on win98se, or does it run best on WinXP? Does anybody think it's worth waiting for the bugs to be ironed out of Vers 5 LAP before switching? Steve Shelski

From what I have read it seems there are no big issues with 5.0 compared to 4.81 so I wouldn´t wait for that reason. I just saw a test in Future Magazine and it got 10 out of 10 in stability and was called the most significant update ever. Henrik hkc@...

Does anybody think it's worth waiting for the bugs to be ironed out of Vers 5 LAP before switching? > > Steve Shelski i wouldnt wait another day to get ver.5. i was very happy with 4.8.1 but much happier with 5. i have it on my dual boot machine in 98 and xp and it works great in 98 but havent done much in xp. im still in transition mode in going to xp and im not in any big hurry because 98se is running rock solid for averything im doing which is alot. i have a session with 55 tracks of audio and 24 audio instruments plus some midi tracks and plugins and it rarely ever chokes. its a big production i never really beleived i would see running on my machine but im doing it with sheer delight! i also have logic control which really saves alot and i mean alot of time and with the new automation and multiple undos and redos im doing things i wouldnt mess with before because its so easy to go back to the way it was before i started playing around. mike v.
