tested it with 10bytes coming from my access microwave controller (soon
to be a logic control 1/8 ...)

I've installed LAWP5 on a new WinXP installation and most of my VST plugins
are not showing; naturally they are in the VSTPlugins folder but I have only
succeeded in getting two working (rgc Pentagon & NI Pro-52) with a few
others not showing at all (Waldorf PPG & DR-008 demo).... either these
are
incompatible with WinXP (unlikely) or there is some kind of bug.
Any ideas anyone ?

Did you just copy them from your older 4.x install?
If so, try deleting the .cfg files you will find for each plugin.

No - this is a new WinXP installation and Logic 4.8 does not work on XP. So
all the plugins are freshly installed also.
