Reference Manual says: "With version 5.0, the track mixer allows a Global View. Choose Tracks>Global view or press the Global View switch. This allows you to see the entire "mixing desk", including MIDI tracks, not only the audio portion, as is the case with the Environment's Audio Mixer." Well that has to be a bug: I can't see those midi tracks at all. David http://mp3.com/6ameternal

I got no answer last time so again; Please someone enlighten me as to why I get worse performance with MP enabled? my config; 800 DP G4 256MB RAM Mac OS9.2.2 minimalised extension set Logic Audio 4.8.1 Platinum Stealth Serial and imate/ADB dongles (ALL latest drivers) RME Digiface PCI latest drivers/bios MTPII IDE 80GB 7200 (audio) + 20GB 5200 (system+LAPM+movies) TCP/IP running, essential. (not filesharing or appletalk though) Memory cache set to default, VM off, ramdisk off. I also have Friendlier disk handling, larger process buffer, bigger disk cache, 20/24bit all set to on in LAPM. I have a few weird plugins. Are they known to disrupt MP? Please help Best Regards Ben Chase

I assume you know that there's a bug in the Fat EQ plugin that overloads the system when in MP mode. Some VST plugins (Absynth, Reaktor amongst others) fall over regularly in MP mode, although I find they're still useable, just. Interestingly, I noticed a big performance drop when I upgraded to 4.8.1. So I went back to 4.7.3 and now all is well. I do enjoy running in MP mode but I've found that the increase in dsp power is not really that great. Of course, the fact that the screen redraws at normal pace no matter the load on the system is a big plus. Any other thoughts out there? STEVE
