Subject: [LUG] GEN Logic Control F8 button
Message #101791
Hi Does anyone else's F8 key work on their Logic Control? I have mine connected to a unitor8 and when I press the F8 key no lights on the unitor8 (RS 232) show incoming signal. All other buttons and fader movements do. Pressing the F8 button doesn't make logic do anything - close floating window or shift+F8 open Audio window. Is this a fault with my unit as it has done this since I have had it? Thanks Kim

> Possible. Does the button feel or sound different than the others? Yeah is does actually. I had a close feel and listen and even though it clicks like the other buttons, it doesn't feel as sturdy and there is a a different 'ticky' sound when I press it?????? If my lc has to go back to the shop, I hope they've got one I can borrow because I can't go a day without this thing now! Anymore comments about the seperate bank offsets in global mode? Thanks Kim

Subject: LAMP Very slow screen redraws

Hail Logicians. Does anyone on this list know if there are extensions that should be loaded at start-up that affect the speed of screen redraws in 4.7.3? My situation is that when playing a track and jumping between screen sets, it sometimes take my Mac up to 10 seconds to draw the screen. This issue is really apparent when displaying VST plugins windows, PSP Vintage Warmer takes at least 5 seconds to draw every time! My set-up: G4 800DP (Multi processor enabled) Mac OS 9.2.2 Logic Platinum 4.7.3 1.5 GB RAM Any thoughts? STEVE

Hi Mike > my f8 button doesnt do anything either. > my cancel button doesnt work as att all how about yours? I just checked my cancel button and it does work. Here is what I did for a quick test. Open a score window (yellow background and stave) hit the cancel button and the yellow and the stave dissappear. So to answer your question, Yes mine does work but the F8 definitely does not. Kim
