Sept 13th, 9:15pm (Mississauga, Canada) Seeing all the posts about comparing track numbers is interesting, especially ones like "I only get 18 stereo tracks" etc...! As technology advances we all need to sit back once in a while and be thankful for what we have "now". I've got a Fostex model 80 8 track with a dust cover on it. Having recorded many many CD's on it, it now has a place of honour in my stduio. For the money I'd get for it, it's worth keeping, as it works perfectly & has paid for itself many times over. MIDI & 8 analog tracks was all I need then. Now with my beige G3/300AV MT I can get about 35+......hey I'm happy. Can't imagine needing more, but I'm sure in 2 yrs I'll look back & say "sure am glad to be able to record 80 tracks of audio"! regards, David Norris-Elye / Towne Music
