Hi,
Has anyone noticed less ASIO errors since using version 5. I'd like to know
if its more stable than 4.81 in that respect as I get loads now when I
shouldn't considering i'm using a P4 2ghz with 512meg of Ram.
I also get irritating ones, where you'll reduce song to just one audio track
and Logic spits out an ASIO error!! and this happens every time when you get
to that part of the track, even if you mix everything down so Logic is just
playing audio files with no plugins, it will still happen at this point
(unless, you copy all the audio and paste it into a new project, then it
won't perform the ASIO error at the points it was before.....which is
strange)

I have been using v5 for two weeks and only had one crash when I
loaded it with 8 different plug in instruments and tried to overload
the processort.
I have a 1.4 Ghz P4 and happily run 20 tracks of audio with 20+
plugin compressors, reverbs, delays and the multi band compressor.
Then I never had the problems you describe. Oh I am using an RME
hammerfall card.. which may help too.

I have posted before on exactly this issue and have never found a
solution. emagic support in the UK say it is likely to be a corrupted
arrangement but offer no explanation as to what causes it or what
might be a solution. Very frustrating. LAWP 4.8 MOTU 2408 w98SE
512mbram 1gig Intel processor 2 x ata 100 hard drives. AOPEN mob.
Any ideas as to a likely cause would be much appreciated. I am loath
to upgrade until all the early bug are ironed.

No - with Logic5 i have this problems for the first time. 4.8.1 worked
perfectly for me, without any ASIO-Errors. (PC: Athlon TB 1400 MHz, ASUS
A7M, 512MB DDR-RAM, RME Hammerfall DSP, WindowsXP, MT4)
I always get this ASIO-Errors when i load (while playing but also if the
sequencer is stopped) an Logic-Instrument like the EXS. (not VSTi's)
The funny thing is: There is no problem - everything plays on and i can use
the Instrument. The only thing i have to do, is to close this
error-message-window.
I noticed in the manual, that Logic5 on PC uses a new audioengine - looks
like a new bug... Any other suggestions ???
Regards,
Michael
