Subject: Real Time Pitch Control
Message #1407
I used to use the speed control on my Tascam tape machine to do several jobs: shifting the pitch down a tad to help a vocalist; changing the timbre of male voices to sound like female with no quality loss; slowing up a part to allow lesser musicians a chance :-) ; tuning to fixed pitch instruments like digeridos . . . I don't have the money to replace my Tascam DAT machine with a built in stripe version, but if someone were to build a small box with a control to send out MTC or SMPTE 44100 ±10% say, and could make this for under a hundred sterling ($150), I for one would buy one. Is it possible? Anyone?
