Under Computer-Properties, disable automatic updating, allowing remote access, set visual effects for best performance (I actually left "show window contents when dragging" and "use visual styles..." enabled - no problem). I turned off any power management (disk, system and monitor). There are quite a few tweaks on: http://www.bluelifeaudio.com/~pcconfig/optimisations/windowsx p.htm - but not all of these are necessary IMHO (modifying registry, etc). Double check your logic config to see if anything was reset - I also assume you updated with the Win2k version of 4.8 and not just your WinME version. Although I haven't had any, I believe ASIO underruns are usually a buffer issue with your audio card though. Are all drivers WinXP compatible? I didn't install in Standard PC mode as some tweak sites suggest, but rather ended up setting interrupt format for PIC instead of APIC in bios to cover any IRQ issues, and leave ACPI in place. That was the major WinXP tweak for my system, as well as the above. You can also go down the list of processes running and set "automatic" processes that are loaded and running to "manual", reboot, run Logic, etc and then see what is loaded. Anything that isn't loaded when you run any apps, CDR, etc, can usually be disabled. Be careful though - disabling a Win process of course can be dangerous (i.e. system won't reboot properly). I've only disabled internet stuff so far (DHCP, etc). That stop my ASIO errors. G.
