Don't know about v.5 yet, but historically, Logic has always exhibited
unusual and inconsistent behaviour for me when aliases are involved in
importing from one song to another. The alias assignments always seem to
get messed up. Perhaps the drag and drop method you are using is related
to this long standing bug alias copy-importing bug.
As an alternative, perhaps you can try not importing the aliases, but
recreate them instead inside the new song.

Hi Eli,
I suspect that you are right regarding the aliases.
Following my post, I dragged each folder over seperately and re-created the
aliases without problem.
As with most of these "glitches" there's usually a workaround.
When I get home, I'll do some further investigations to see if I can find
out whether it's dragging the multiple folders, or the aliases causing the
crash.
