Subject: GEN /MAC: SPDIF / WORD CLOCK / TOSLINK / on MOTU
Message #98055
Hello I just moved from a DIGI 001 to a MOTU system including a 2048 MKII and a 24i I have also a Presonus DIGIMAX (8 pre-amp to ADAT), a Lexicon MPX 550 (SPDIF), a Studio 4 and an Midi Time Piece midi interfaces and an amplifier Yamaha DSP A595a What is the best way to link all this stuff ! Should I use Toslink prior to SPDIF ? Should I use Word clock and a Word clock dispatcher instead using the DIGIMAX giving the general clock. What about midi timing, should I change my old Midi interfaces ? On my amplifier Yamaha DSP A595a (Dolby DTS) I have a SPDIF input and two optical input (DVD/LD and TV/DBS) what are they (ADAT ?? TOS LINK) ? what is better ? Thanks in advance for your help Best -- Cyril Blanc ______________________________________________________ mailto:blanc.cyril@... 92350 Plessis Robinson France The box said 'Requires Windows 95, or better.' So I bought a Macintosh.
