The OS takes control over deviding it's own tasks, but not for the applications tasks AFAIK... Could anyone who _knows_ about this comment this please? This is exactly the way it works. "The OS takes control over dividing it's own tasks, but not for the applications" I just don't know the whole science behind it. I believe it has to do with multithreading for dual processors in applications. I believe Mac users will see dual processing aware applications as standard in the near future, as apple dual processor machines are standard computers on apple's product line. For the pc community I expect it will take longer. ...Allias -----Original Message----- From: Raymund Beyer [mailto:lug@...] Sent: Saturday, February 02, 2002 11:08 AM To: Logic Users Subject: Re: [LUG] Re: [LAMP] G4 800 DP - how many PVs do you get? >>One day when LAM OS X will be there this scheme won't change (as Markus >>stated), Jonathan Christensen wrote: >It would have to change, wouldn't it?
