IMO they are just a new version of "We fight this war with god on our side. It is a just war." The assumption that god actually might approve of any war does severely tax my gullability. To my knowledge only the Old Testament does actually support violence. If you read on you eventually discover the New Testament which clearly abhors of violence. My opinion. Thoughts from the mind of Michael Gerdau, 11/2/01: >[snip] >The assumption that god actually might approve of any war does >severely tax my gullability. > >To my knowledge only the Old Testament does actually support violence. >If you read on you eventually discover the New Testament which clearly >abhors of violence. Thank God, Allah, Krishna, Zeus, or whomever you prefer for people with good sense. And, if I may add a little bit, it is the _New_ Testament on which Christianity is based -- which in turn, we Westerners like to claim, is the basis for much of our moral thinking. cheers, HJ -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra email: mailto:h@... www: http://www.ision.nl/users/h/index.html

I agree - I don't want anyone thinking that we all support this war, and I object to postings that assume that we are all in agreement with this military action. By the way, isn't this a logic user group???? david T

Hi Victor / Jeff / LUG re the above and the problem of only either of the interfaces being recognised on a G4 867MHz, i tried all the suggestions, a) leaving out the Free Midi Extensions - did not help b) threw out the Geoport extension and used the Stealth 1.03 extension instead and and it was recognised by Free Midi, Midi Express console by Unitor Control and Hallelujah, by LOGIC (LAMP 4.81 too!) this is also for the information of other users who may encounter this problem. best regards and thanks for the help.
