Hello,
I need to know this: I have an iMac and I make tracks with EXS24 (midi
tracks). Which is the way to get audio tracks from EXS24? I don't need
record audio from external and fisical devises. I need to record audio from
the EXS24, all inside the iMac.
Thanks.

Set locators to the sequence length, then bounce the track to audio [master
fader/bounce button]

May thanks, but it is for final stereo track. I asked for multitrack record,
thanks again...

I just saw LogicControl today for the first time. I
didn't get the "official demo" yet (that's Oct 30), just
a quick 15 minute perusal.
My only complaint so far is the choice of fontsize for
the silkscreened stuff (not the for the LED display,
but for the printing actually on the unit). There is
plenty of room underneath the various buttons to use
a bigger fontsize. I found myself leaning in close to
read everything (but not the LEDs! - they're fine).
Everybody in attendance agreed with this. It's a rather
simple thing to change before production is ramped up.
By the way, I just heard a rather "official" word that the
price has gone up substantially. It'll *list* for US$1299,
streetprice less probably. It's worth every penny. It's a
damn fine unit built physically very nicely. I would have
sure liked some kind of analog section though (talkback,
monitoring etc... and yes I would pay a few hundred more
for this).

I haven't tried it, but there is a way you can use surround bounce to get a
certain number of mono tracks recorded at once.

Do this:
Make sure all of your EXS24 instruments have the same outputs (eg 1-2)
Make sure nothing else has that output (or else it will be recorded - eg
click)
Select all the sequences in the arrange window you wish to bounce down.
Set your locators (eg 1 1 1 1 to 32 1 1 1) to enclose these
sequences. You can do this manually or use the key command <set
locators by objects>.
Maybe add a bar or two so that reverb tails don't get cut off. (so go
to 34 1 1 1)
If your EXS's are coming out of 1-2, click the <bounce> button on
Master 1. You'll get the bounce dialog, click <bounce> or <bounce
and add> if you want your mix file to appear in the audio window. The
sequences will all play and be bounced down to a stereo file. (you
may have to adjust levels if the output is too high)
Don't stop until the dialog disappears. Your mix file is now ready.
Obviously, all reverbs, delays and other effects wiil also bounce to
the mix file. If you have sent to any busses, just make sure the
busses also output to 1-2.
Hope this helps
Colin
